Backstage at Claes Iversen at MBFWA. The winter fairytale…

Iverson’s collection have a modern approach of classical womens wear without being a bore. His inspration comes from personal feelings, conflicts and experiences. Eventhough the collection has conceptual approch, it’s very wearable with a touch of glamour and romance for the woman who seeks sophistication. This show was filled with lace, perfectly cut silhouettes and hadmade flowers, with a show stopper of a wedding dress with a touch a snow falling from the catwalk sky…

I had the privelege to have a look backstage a follow the steps of the complementing make-up look for this show. The looks on the models wre inspired by Mia Farrow from Rosemary’s Baby (1968). A 60’s – 70’s clean yet baby doll look, but not too girly. Aiming for a little rawness in all of the sweetness, with an edge of punk and jungle where the eyes are the focus and just a touch of 8 hour creme on the lips. A minimalistic look where black quacolors are used on the eyes while a matte effect is key.
