For the holidays Dior created a sparkling limited edition. It’s a heady mix of gold’s, ruby reds, shining pearls and carbon blacks for the face and the nails are not forgotten. This couture collection embraces the fantasy of a ‘Grand bal’ transformation, and the decadence of the masquerade.
The belle of the Grand Bal collection is the Dior Carnet de Bal Palette, a palette inspired by the shape of an 18th century dance card and the nicest thing, it’s held shut with a miniature eyeliner. One side is in molten gold, the other in beautiful silver, they brighten the eyes with a smattering of finely milled shimmer.
For the first time, Dior has created a collection of false eyelashes, in two different variants. The first pair, Pearl Drops, are a subtle shape that focus upon volume, which I like. The Dior 5 Couleurs collection for Christmas is an ode to gold. Going out and about? For the evening there is 524 night gold’s, a decadent molten collection of metal-look satin shadows for mesmerizing looks. For the daytime try 764 fairy gold’s, a collection of lighter shades.
Feeling bold? For this Christmas there will be four exclusive nail lacquer colors: Lady, Diorling, Diva, and Marilyn. My favorite color is the black shimmery Diva. What else is new.
