Ferry Schiffelers proudly presented his latest collection “Ladies Who Lunch” during the first day of Amsterdam Fashion Week.
For “Ladies Who Lunch”, the designer took his collection to an exclusive spectacle behind closed doors. Inspired by the documentary “The Secret World Of Haute Couture” the designer captured the feeling of being part of a world that remains notoriously private and only opens to the elite few. The “Ladies Who Lunch” have left the coffee table, so to speak, to have lunch in Ferry’s blossoming dream world.
His love for feminine beauty and its untouchable emotional power are visible throughout his work. In addition, his collections are based on special occasions. Where the rituals around funerals inspired his previous collection “Défilé de Deuil”, this collection brings an exclusive fairy-tale to life.

Classic shapes are combined with traditional handcraftsmanship such as embroidery, knitting and crochet. The collection includes statement pieces such as a gold hand-embroidered dress, a tulle off-shoulder baby doll and a voluminous black mini dress. Each look is complimented with an exclusive headpiece inspired by flowers and croissants, created in collaboration with Demure Couture Hat Amsterdam. Traditional as Ferry Schiffelers’ approach is, the show was closed by a bride wearing a bouquet inspired wedding dress.
For the collection presentation of “Ladies Who Lunch” Ferry Schiffelers collaborated with LM Flower Fashion and Hydrangeaworld to create the astonishing table setting.
Ferry Schiffelers graduated in 2018 at the Amsterdam Fashion Insitute. His graduation collection won the grand prize of Lichting 2018. Ferry sees his way of designing as a way to create connections and tell stories.
