If you are a fashionista you’re familiar with Face Hunter’s work. If not, here’s a quick recap. Yvan Rodic a.k.a the Facehunter began his career by snapping pictures of people who caught his eye at Parisian parties. In 2006 he began posting the results on his blog which resulted in his street fashion photography being featured in the New York Times, Vogue Italy and The Observer, just to name a few.
In his new book: “A year in the life of Facehunter” Ivan takes you on his year- long travel through more than thirty of his favourite cities, visiting two or more cities a week people watching and photographing.
To me, the real life pictures are refreshing and inspiring. Every picture tells its own story, or you can make you’re own while flipping through the 680 pictures. I think Ivan is very good at capturing that one special storytelling moment. The pictures do all the talking…
As Yvan says: “ It’s not about fashion people inspiring fashion people anymore – it’s about real life inspiring real people, all over the world”.
Great news because you’ll be able to meet Facehunter at the American Bookcenter in Amsterdam on the 25th of May at 15.00, where he will be signing his new book. And from what I’ve understood it going to be a real happening. So, dress up and bring you’re prettiest smile. You never know if you’re going to be face hunted as Ivan is bringing his camera. Save the date and updates about this special event will follow soon…
