The U Beauty sunscreen contains zinc to protect against UVA, UVB, infrared (IR), and blue light (HEV) exposure. Mineral ingredients like this also have the added benefits of protecting against melasma, which happens due to the overproduction of the cells that make the color of your skin. It also contains a technology, which helps excess melanin, that can cause dark spots to minimize pre-existing dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines.
Next to these benefits, it’s ultra-soothing and hydrating for the skin. Think ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, jojoba oil, almond oil, and shea butter that work hard to TLC the skin’s lipid layer while adding extra moisture to plump and smooth the skin’s texture.
The texture is smooth and it would look like the zinc oxide leave an ashy residue making the sunscreen a little less appropriate for women of color, but after massaging it into the skin the chalkiness is gone completely making my skin look radiant and bright. The price might be on the high side for an SPF but when you consider the all-around UVA, UVB, infrared (IR), and blue light (HEV) protection it’s definitely worth looking into. (50 ML | £160.00)
