Yesterday, on Monday the 12th Claes Iversen showed his AW12 | 13 collection in the Old Church in Amsterdam. After a number of female and colorful collections the designer had a dark ‘gothic like’ touch to it. A collection that conceals and reveals.
The dynamic between masculine and feminine, decorative versus minimalist and dark versus color results in an architecturally constructed collection of beautiful contrasts.
A white tuxedo and wedding dress and a jacket worn over a gown emphasize the contrast. The layering of materials as the embroidery are an important element within the collection.
Wool, silk organza, tulle, net and leather are the main materials in this collection. Dark black, dark brown, dark green and burgundy contrast with crisp white and fresh colors as orange and mint green. All looks are to be worn with long leather gloves.
For the third time Claes Iversen works together with L’Oreal Professional. The hair of the models is provided by Berni Ottjes, ambassador for L’Oreal Professional. The hair of the models is colored with INOA 2 part. Chef de cabine for the make-up by: Lydia le Loux for the HoO.
Watch and enjoy!
