Once a year the Americans celebrate ‘Clean out your computer day’. When the first streaks of sun, brighten up your apartment, we start cleaning up and throwing things out, to make space for new. So why not clean out your make-up wardrobe? Don’t you know where to start? Read these tips below, and it will definitely help you find your way.
Start with all of your fluids. Do they still smell ok? Isn’t it as fluid as it used to be? Then it’s time to toss it/them out. Depending on the brand you can keep fluids to a maximum of two years.
When you have several fluids, stall the ones you do not use as much in the refrigerator.
When going thru your pressed powder make-up, as in eyeshadow, blush, and compact face powder make a selection of the ones you wear, and the ones you don’t. These are to best to be used within two to three years. Nevertheless when you rub your finger over the product, and nothing really seems to come of, it’s time to toss them out.
If you’re a bit like me you’ll have several mascara’s. When using a product so near to the eyes as mascara it’s important to refresh the one(s) you use the most approx every three months. For more details about the best way to apply mascara, check my page‘put your Flawless Face one’.
Most of us have several products for the lips. Lipsticks, stickgloss, lipstains, lipgloss, lip balm. There usually spread thru the apartment, and in several bags, especially when you swop your bags a lot. You can actually wear your lip products for a long time, until they start to smell funny. You all know what I am talking about. And don’t think that if you put the cap back on again the smell will vanish. Toss it out, even thought you thought it was one of your favorites, because if it starts to smell different , and you can’t remember bying it, you probably have not been wearing it all that much.
Keep smiling while cleaning out your make-up wardrobe. You can always buy new ones.
