Fine Dining at Nela Restaurant

On the second floor of the striking Valley building, in the middle of Amsterdam’s bustling Zuidas, you’ll find restaurant NELA   Nela means pure. From gastronomy to the carefully hand-crafted space and materials, to the connection between people, culture, and traditions.

The very first impression during the grand opening a few months ago was an impressive one while your tastebuds were sent into orbit during the delicious introduction tastings. The chefs and their team stand in a large open kitchen where a fire burns in the background and the interior is chic but understated. While the restaurant ceiling resembles the Stone Age Flinstones and was growing on me during last night’s dinner, I was studying the menu and for once, I really didn’t know where to start. There are so many mouthwatering dishes to choose from.

Octopus and Butter Beans

If you want matching drinks with these beautiful dishes, there is an extensive cocktail and wine list with unique wines from all over the world. There is a cocktail bar island where you can sit before heading to dinner. If available ask for a table at the chef’s counter.

Hari and Ori have worked for many years for top restaurants such as Nobu (London), Yafo-Tel Aviv (Tel Aviv) and Izakaya, The Duchess, and Mr. Porter (Amsterdam). In partnership with innovative international entrepreneur Gilad Hayeem (The Waverly Group), knowledge and expertise are bundled into restaurant Nela. You won’t be disappointed. The restaurant, with its raw materials, warmth, and dynamic design, provides the perfect backdrop for gathering around the fire to share good food and drink with friends.
