Henry’s Townhouse is the former home of Jane Austen’s brother, Henry. When visiting Henry’s you’ll be drenched in history that is inspired by the 18th century Austen family. The same inspiration that was used for their very first collection of candles. The six candles are made from ceramic bisque while the fragrances each tell their own story. From the fruity notes of the black tea & fig candle – Bohea – to the Green Tea and Bergamot candle – Marylebone Blooms -.
I have the privilege to enjoy Amber & Sandalwood – Henry’s Townhouse – signature candle, which is inspired by the 18th-century Amber-scented colognes featuring Iris and musky Sandalwood. To me, the Cinnamon & Amber candle, – Monsieur Halavant’s Pantry – smells like smokey warm apple pie while also containing Cedarwood, Bergamot, and Musk.
