Without good skincare, make-up is nothing. I am a sucker for great allrounder comforting skincare prior to any make-up routine and the magic crème by Charlotte Tilbury is one of them. It contains hyaluronic acid, damask rose water, rosehip oil, SPF 15 among other secret ingredients and really plumps the skin before applying your flawless face basics. (primer, foundation, concealer, setting powder)
When Charlotte announced she was launching a Magic Night Crème I was enthusiastic immediately. That said, I’ve been reviewing the magic night crème and the eye rescue for a while and these are my thoughts:
The crème feels more like a balm, has a gel like texture and extremely rich. I first tried it with a serum underneath but that was way too much as it just sat on the skin, making it quite oily in the morning. In the next attempt I used less than a pea size and this was enough to cover my face and neck. MY skin felt deeply nourished but not extremely oily. Next to that, there is this glow. Fresh, tightened and dewy skin.
Would I recommend it?
We all crave for polished skin, but we don’t want to look like a highly polished ball so I would recommend to choose between the day or night crème unless your skin feels like the Sahara during winter time.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue (15 ml | €55)
The magic eye rescue I love and it promises to turn back the clock. It has a refreshing and cooling texture and contains winter Daphne Stem Cells Extract that tightens and firms the skin. It also helps to enhance the effectiveness of collagen and improves the binding of skin cells to recreate tighter & firmer-feeling skin. With the help of Retinol molecules skin around the eye area is boosted. In a nutshell: it gives energy to your skin, instantly hydrating and replenishing to firm and brighten. And let’s not forget coconut oil & shea butter that conditions the skin.
Would I recommend it?
Absolutely. I found it really addresses fine lines around the eye area. Next to that it helps to diminish the appearance of dark circles.
Keep an eye on my page as I’ll be writing about the Charlotte Tilbury Boudoir shortly.
Note: Beauty is in the skin! Take care of it, oil it, clean it, scrub it, perfume it, and put on your best clothes, even if there is no special occasion, and you’ll feel like a queen. If society is hard on you, fight back by pampering your skin. That’s all.
