Give your skin a sparkle on New Year’s Eve 2019

You might remember a similar post from last year. And oh boy, has this year flown by. A lot can happen in a year, and it has in a good way. While reading last year New Year’s Eve post I could only smile as the products below are still one of my favorites and have a special place in my bathroom. Have a fabulous new years eve and keep these products and tips in mind when creating your party look.

Depending on where you’re going the question what to wear and which party for ‘New Years Eve’ rises every year. Or maybe an even better question, what to wear or not to wear, make-up wise that is. When it comes to make-up it all starts with healthy and dewy looking skin. A few of my favorite products to have skin looking dewy prepped and radiant is the EGF serum and Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic crème. Magic indeed.

The renewed Essential Shock Intense Line by Natura Bissé line helps to restore the hormonal balance and works wonders for skin and can be use as a little extra boost. The line contains five products for which the anti-aging firming serum is my very favorite product as it stimulates cell renewal.

The brand Perricone is on top of things when it comes to eye crème . The eye therapy nourishes the skin intensely with hyaluronic acid addresses deep set lines and color differences around the eyes. An eye therapy you don’t want to miss out on as it brightens the area around the eyes. Another favorite is the Bubblewrap eye and lip plumping cream and super glow by GLOSSIER. It makes eyes and lips look fresher, smoother, and more hydrated.

That said; adding a little TLC from Glossier is always a good idea. After the proper introduction in New York and several visits to the pop up store in London I am hooked to the brands philosophy. Find a few of my favorites here.

Let the sparkle begin… When it comes to make-up New Year’s eve a little extra sparkle is a must. Let your eyes and lips do most of the talking. Aim for a flawless looking complexion with a primer, a foundation that suits your skin tone and needs, and a matching concealer. Remember racoon eyes are a no-go.

As you want your smokey eye make-up to stay put, please use an eye basic or eyeprimer before applying you’re eye make-up. Bobbi Brown, Smashbox and Laura Mercier has great ones. As a color base I love to use an cream eyeshadow stick or a pro Longwear paint pot by M.A.C. Cosmetics. It comes in several colors and it’s very easy to use. I apply it all the way up to the eye crease and the add eyeshadow.

To add some depth I always apply a complementing eye shadow. To make it stay put use a crème base or gel like Duraline that is also able to transform every eye shadow into a liquid gel structure. As its NYE add a link extra. Line the under eye area for that intense and sexy gaze before you add two coats of mascara. You could even add a few festive feathers if you really want your eyes to stand out. M.A.C. Cosmetics and Backstage have great ones.

ps: for budget make-up H&M Beauty really has colorful and highly pigmented items to create a party look in no time. Really worth a try.

Have fun on NYE. Have a good one & Happy New Year!
