Olga Yermoloff launches the house of Olvi’s in Amsterdam

During my recent travel to Paris I had the privilege to wear the most extraordinary butter soft leather and lace dress by Olvy’s to a private classical music concert in one of the oldest churches in Paris. Pure Bliss, I can tell you that. You like my lace & leather dress? Then you sure should get to know the person behind the brand.

About 12 years ago, Olga fell in love with a vintage hand made black lace dress. As I understood, the sleeves had loads of tiny buttons running all the way down to the side opening into a bell sleeve. The long A-line skirt was see through from hip down and a lining that was nude below the black lace that went upwards. She had never seen anything like it.

Fascinated by fashion she always dreamed and envisioned herself designing dresses that were fit for a princess. The dream became a reality and is now sold in over thirty countries and handmade from fine French stretch lace.

Olga launched her own label in 2012 and Olvi’s first flagship store that was recently opened in the P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam. When entering the store it will remind you of the great Gatsby roaring twenties combined with Art Deco and & Art Nouveau style elements. You can literally dream away and picture yourself in one of the beautiful ‘handmade with love’ gowns.

At the shop you will also notice that it’s divided over two floors where you will find  fashion collection, Olga Yermoloff Haute Couture, Little Lady collection & Olvi’s Bridal.

As Olga thinks that lace is the most feminine and sophisticated fabric head on over to the store and indulge in exceptional service with a private fitting room downstairs where the seamstress can make direct alterations when necessary based on detailed size and preferences. Go on, don’t be shy. Have a peek at the house of Olvi’s and be amazed.
